Currently the Game Information is exported/imported strictly in RTF format. RTF is a proprietary format. We should consider opening the doors to other freer formats, such as HTML. This also has the added benefit of using Links and Images in the Game Information.

How would this work without breaking GM compatibility though? Obviously exporting to HTML is fine, and importing HTML is possible to some degree, but saving into the actual game wouldn't really be practical.

the user would be warned that saving to the GM format will cause some information to be lost as the HTML is converted to RTF.

gm6 is a proprietary format also correct? Why not just make your own .lgm or whatever format with more functionlity then team up with josh or whoever else is making the compiler and get it supported?

If you can get your own *.lgm format, then such feature is fine. But how would you fit RTF in the current *.gm6 format?
As far as I know, you can't just add flags to the format because that'd break compatibility with Game Maker.

The current *.gm6 format already uses RTF for the Game Information.
