The Frame Link menu selector only shows "<no link>" in it's menu even when I have half a dozen objects open.

I'm sorry, but a screenshot isn't enough. I understand that you are experiencing this problem, and your description is enough for me to figure out what it *looks like*, but if I can't reproduce it, I can't tell what the problem is. Can you please provide as much information as possible?

Hmm.. It only seems to happen when I load a game from a file, then open some objects.

Sorry for the delay, it was a little deeper than I originally thought. It's fixed in r363 with a hack. I call it a hack because we destroy and recreate the EventFrame, when really all that's needed is to somehow inform the FrameSelector of the new root node, but I can't figure out how to do that, and this is fast enough to not be noticeable.
